Cavalier Products wasn't built by a marketing plan — it was built by a founder who drove the route himself, learned every shop owner's name, and never stopped showing up.
Long before Cavalier Products existed, Tony and Carol Gemmell started out in Scotland, where they built their first mobile parts-delivery business — carrying workshop consumables directly to mechanic shops on a recurring, scheduled basis. That's where the model was born: old-fashioned, relationship-first selling that put the customer's convenience first. From there, they took it to England, running and refining the business across London for years and proving it could work anywhere.
In 2000, Tony brought that model to Texas and founded Cavalier Products in Royse City. The idea was simple: mechanic shops shouldn't have to stop what they're doing to place an order. If the rep manages the shelf, the shop just keeps working.
Not a catalog. A relationship. Cavalier is about being there before the shop even knows it's low on stock. We take care of you, so you can take care of your customers.
Not a call center. A route. A dedicated rep, on a set schedule, who knows the shop, the staff, and the shelf.
Not a one-time sale. A standing commitment. Reps manage in-shop inventory directly, restocking at the point of use.
Tony and Carol Gemmell start their first route business in Scotland, then take the model to London — refining a mobile, relationship-driven consumables route for years before it ever touched Texas soil.
Tony relocates to Texas and launches Cavalier's first route, carrying electrical terminals, hose clamps, bolts, body clips, and adhesives directly to automotive shops.
Word-of-mouth and long-tenured relationships carry Cavalier into new trade areas across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and East Texas, with reps building routes for years before handing them to trusted successors.
Cavalier extends its route model into San Antonio and Houston, bringing the same rep-first service to two of Texas's largest automotive service markets.
Cavalier's dedicated routes now reach shops across NE Dallas, Central & West DFW, East Texas, San Antonio, and Houston — with new routes on the way as Texas's automotive aftermarket keeps growing.
Cavalier is stepping into a new chapter focused on faster growth into new trade areas — while the reps, the routes, and the relationships that shops have trusted for decades stay exactly where they are.
Shops don't renew a contract with Cavalier every year — they keep working with a rep they trust. That relationship is the business.
A scheduled route means shops can plan around Cavalier — not the other way around. Reliability is the whole point.
Good reps know how a shop runs — what it stocks heavy, what it's always short on, and what's changed since last visit.
